Sharing is caring!
Men vs. women — are there real differences? Loyalty Card holders do show some behavioral differences. How do men and women use their Loyalty Cards?
Is the use of Loyalty Cards really that different
between men and women?
Let’s take a look at the
observed differences!
1. Women carry their Loyalty Cards with them more often than men,
As a result, they are more likely to present them at checkout. Conversely,
men often leave their Loyalty Cards at home, or simply don’t think
to present them when paying.
The digitization of Loyalty Cards addresses this issue.
2. Women are (slightly) more loyal than men to the Brands
whose Loyalty Card they hold.
They are also more likely to recommend to their friends and family the Brands
they are loyal to, compared to men. Women share good deals
with each other and are sensitive to the quality of service
provided by the Merchant.
Although some men dislike shopping and therefore show
absolute loyalty to the Brand they habitually use when they are
happy with the service and products.
3. Finally, purchase frequency and
tenure are the top criteria
Purchase frequency and tenure, more than purchase volume, are the
top criteria that both men and women want to see rewarded in the
Loyalty Programs they sign up for.
However, women say more than men that they need recognition.
